Working alongside an Associate Accountant, and likely a Senior Accountant as well, the intern accountant will learn skills in document review, making determinations on appropriate use of funds, validation procedures, and coordination with multiple constituents inside and outside NYSED.Ìý
An ideal candidate would be one seeking a degree in accounting, or an associated field, who is able to remain organized, utilize both paper and electronic formats, communicate professionally, and work both collaboratively and independently.Ìý
This position anticipates 20-29 hours (depending on limitations of the internship program) of in-office work at 89 Washington Ave, Albany, NY. We can be flexible with days and start times, but the work must be accomplished between 7am and 4:30pm, with no more than 7 1/2 working hours in a single day.
Undergraduate students will be paid $15/hour and graduate students will be paid $18/hour. For all offices located in NYC or Westchester, Suffolk, or Nassau Counties, undergraduate students will be paid $16.00/hour and graduate students will be paid $19.00/hour.Ìý
